Small Business Administration Announces Additional Disaster Loan Deferment

On March 15, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced an additional deferment of principal and interest payments for existing COVID Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program borrowers for another six months. This latest deferment brings the total deferment period to 30 months from inception of all approved COVID EIDL loans. This extension is effective for all loans approved in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Interest will continue to accrue on the loans during the deferment period. Any provider agencies that received EIDL loans should read the full announcement and stay informed on updated repayment timelines.
