OhioMHAS Crisis Task Force Updates: June 2022

The Crisis Task Force convened by OhioMHAS provided an update on the status of the final report developed through the work of the task force subcommittees over the last six months. The report will outline the committee’s recommendations on shaping Ohio’s crisis care and stabilization system. The report is expected to reflect the sub-committee recommendations released in late May that The Ohio Council shared in previous editions of Insight. The recommendations and the final report are expected to cover a broad range of crisis-related topics, including crisis call centers, mobile crisis support, transportation, workforce, residential treatment, finances, and data collection. The department’s goal is to have a final report available by the end of August. After the final report is available, the Crisis Task Force will reconvene to discuss the report, share feedback, and discuss implementation of the recommendations. The Ohio Council will update members as soon as a final version of the report becomes available.
