Ohio Children’s Behavioral Health Prevention Network Issues Final Report |
Governor Mike DeWine’s Ohio Children’s Initiative Office released the Ohio Children’s Behavioral Health Prevention Network Final Report at the end of February. This report is the outcome of House Bill 12, passed in late 2019, which created the Children's Behavioral Health Prevention Network Group. Members were tasked with coordinating and planning a comprehensive learning network that will support young child in their social, emotional, and behavioral development and reducing behavioral health disparities.
The report outlines the workgroup process, reviews available data with a special emphasis on the impact of ACES, activities underway by various child-serving state agencies, and offers multiple actionable recommendations. Recommendations are organized around data and metrics, access, workforce, supporting caregivers, and community infrastructure and best practices.
