ODH announced plans in mid-March to end the daily publication of statewide COVID-19 data, opting instead for a weekly report of case numbers, hospitalizations, and vaccinations every Thursday. ODH Director Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff said the move makes sense as Ohio moves toward an endemic stage of the COVID-19 pandemic. ODH guidance has also been updated. Schools are no longer asked to report COVID-19 cases among students to local health departments unless the district tested the student. Quarantine and isolation guidance for schools has not changed.
