In late July, the Office of Budget and Management (OBM) Director Kimberly Murnieks sent guidance to state agencies regarding the State Fiscal Years 2024-2025 State Operating Budget. OBM is asking agencies to present a flat-funded budget or, if an agency wishes to seek an increase of 5% or more for any program, they must present evidence or results-based reasoning to justify the budgetary increase. OBM’s guidance materials for the SFY 24-25 budget process can be found on its website. The Ohio Council will soon be meeting with relevant state agencies to share our budget and policy priorities and advocate on behalf of the community behavioral health provider system.
