2024 Ohio Council Compliance & Quality Conference


Registration Information

The Ohio Council of Behavioral Health & Family Services Providers is pleased to announce our first in-person compliance conference since 2018, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza Columbus North - Worthington Hotel in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, March 5th and Wednesday, March 6th.

The business of behavioral health care is in constant transition, as rules, regulations, laws, certifications, and audit processes are regularly updated. The Ohio Council’s 2-day in-person Compliance and Quality Conference will review administrative and clinical compliance topics necessary for quality treatment provision, including: anti-trust regulations, telehealth requirements, labor and employment law updates, payer audits, documentation best practices, clinical quality metrics, Medicare changes, and best practices related to medical and recreational cannabis.

Agenda 

Training Objectives for Day 1:

  • Participants will be able to identify potential areas of risk for behavioral health provider organizations that are most likely to trigger an audit, recommendations for best practices to avoid risk and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and will be equipped with information to prepare for an audit with various regulating entities.
  • Participants will be provided with current information on state and federal laws impacting behavioral health organizations and the patients they serve.

The Ohio Council of Behavioral Health & Family Services Providers is an approved provider for Ohio Counselors, Social Workers (Provider #RSC058802), Chemical Dependency Professionals (Provider #50-18966), and Psychologists (Provider #310951018). Day 1 of the conference provides 5.5 continuing education units, including 4.5 hours that meets ethics requirements.

Training Objectives for Day 2:

  • Participants will be provided with information that can be utilized to identify best practices to implement a robust clinical quality improvement and compliance program.
  • Participants will be provided with current information on Medicare policies impacting behavioral health organizations and their patients.
