Learning Objectives:

  • Review the operations of the BH/SUD treatment industry in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and changes at the state and federal level.
  • Examine the state of parity between behavioral and general health care in the State of Ohio as of 2021.

The 2021 Annual Conference will kick off with The Ohio Council's Annual Meeting and an overview of the state of the state in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment. Ohio Council CEO Teresa Lampl will speak briefly about the state of the industry amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Ohio Department of Medicaid Director Maureen Corcoran will provide an update on the Medicaid program in Ohio. The session will be closed out with a discussion on the state of parity in Ohio with comments from OhioMHAS Director Lori Criss, Ohio Department of Insurance Director Judi French, and a representative of the U.S. Department of Labor.
