We are seeking a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) to join our small but dedicated mental health agency. The LISW-S will provide clinical supervision to up to 8 counselors, guiding their professional development, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, and supporting high-quality service delivery. Additionally, the LISW-S will maintain their own active caseload, delivering direct therapy services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision:
- Provide clinical supervision to a team of up to 8 counselors, including regular one-on-one sessions, case consultations, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure supervisees adhere to ethical and professional standards, as well as agency policies and procedures.
- Assist supervisees in developing treatment plans, setting goals, and addressing challenging cases.
- Facilitate group supervision meetings to encourage peer learning and support.
- Monitor and document the progress and professional development of each supervisee, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Stay informed of best practices and current trends in clinical supervision and mental health treatment.
Clinical Services:
- Manage a caseload of clients, providing individual, group, and/or family therapy as appropriate.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care providers, and case managers, to coordinate care for clients.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices.
- Uphold the agency’s mission to provide compassionate, client-centered care.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting.
- Previous experience providing clinical supervision to counselors or social workers.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and interventions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a small or community-based mental health agency.
- Specialized training or certification in a specific therapeutic modality (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
