Job Description:
This is a complex clinical position involving the engagement of clientele in a therapeutic relationship with the goal of fostering cognitive and behavioral change to improve overall client functioning. This position will deliver comprehensive care to adults and/or children, diagnosed with mental health or substance use disorders. This position answers to the Chief Clinical Officer and/or clinical supervisor position.
Responsibilities:
- Provides office based comprehensive behavioral health services for assigned caseload including:
- diagnostic assessments, individualized treatment planning, individual and family therapy, group therapy, and care coordination of adults and/or youth clientele.
- Coordinate clinical treatment with referral sources.
- Completes discharge or linkage to other additional services, including referral to internal or external resources, as needed.
- Perform community outreach, as required.-In providing billable services, meets or exceeds unit/direct service expectations established by MBH.
- Complete all documentation and assessments in a timely manner, in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
- Responsible for accurate, timely, and quality documentation which may include, but is not limited to: activity/progress notes, Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), incident report forms, and any other forms necessary to document services.
- Participates in scheduled individual and team supervision, professional consultation, peer consultations, staff meetings and continuing education.
- Must adhere to confidentiality laws, regulations, and policies as related to all client information.
- Must keep all licensures current, and continuously upgrade professional skills.
Qualifications:
- Must possess, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, prefer a Masters. Must have LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
- Must possess knowledge about mental health and substance abuse theories, as related to job.
- Proficient or willing to learn Qualifacts/CareLogic or other required programs.
- Must have strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills, able to relate to people of varyingages and backgrounds.
- Must possess time management skills and be able to work independently
- Proficient in MS Windows Office and Outlook.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong belief in family centered practice and ability to provide services or refer to services that assist/enrich the recoveree and recoverees’ family members. Ability to work with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to focus on and reinforce positive strengths and behaviors.
