CCC has an immediate, full-time position available for a DIRECTOR whose responsibilities include the planning, monitoring and supervision of departmental program/clinical supervisors, mental health therapist and/or coordinators where necessary, programs, and services to assure compliance with the policies and procedures of Community Counseling Center and to ensure that the services delivered are appropriate and effective.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The position requires a Master’s degree in social work or counseling from an accredited university.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: LISW or LPCC at minimum. LPCC-S or LISW-S preferred. The position requires a valid driver’s license, driving infractions within the last three (3) years subject to the Agency Handbook and no DUI, drug, theft or felony charges in the past; reliable transportation; and adequate levels of insurance and insurability.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Prior mental health and/or drug and alcohol counseling experience is required. At least five years of management experience plus prior clinical supervisory experience is required.

WORKING SCHEDULE: Dictated by client and agency need. Hours will be scheduled during typical office hours Monday - Friday, however, one evening per week may be required. Availability for after-hours supervisory support may be required, depending on departmental/programmatic responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: The Director is required to have the following skills:

  • Hands-on skills in dealing with agency technology applications; clinical interview methods; individual, family, and group counseling methods; knowledge and techniques for facilitating personality/behavior change; capacity for collecting, organizing, and reporting data in order to reach valid clinical conclusions; ability to develop and implement Individual Service Plans; skills in crisis intervention and emergency services; specialized knowledge of the mental health field; knowledge of the implementation of current applicable diagnostic standards; the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; the ability to establish and maintain clinically effective relationships with clients and significant others; the ability to function as part of an organization by working with others and by adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • This position requires training in First Aid, CPR and De-escalation techniques.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include the planning, monitoring and supervision of departmental program/clinical supervisors, mental health therapist and/or coordinators where necessary, programs, and services to assure compliance with the policies and procedures of Community Counseling Center and to ensure that the services delivered are appropriate and effective.

JOB DUTIES:

  1. Oversight of all aspects of departmental performance, including, but not limited to: clinical and program supervision, individual and group supervision, development and management of key performance indicators and related metrics and timely reporting of such, meeting revenue expectations, and controlling expenditures.
  2. Ultimately ensure the client experience is medically necessary, accessible, timely, effective, and cost efficient.
  3. Responsible for outlining the professional growth and development of subordinates in alignment with the overall agency professional development program.
  4. Develop and utilize data in decision making processes. Utilize, and regularly monitor, available dashboards to meet compliance standards, elicit improved workforce performance, and meet/exceed organizational objectives.

  1. May supervise clinical workforce which includes but is not limited to supervisory meetings with each supervisee, assigning cases, monitoring quality and quantity of service delivery for individual cases, evaluating assigned workforce on a yearly basis, providing initial and continuous clinical training and conducting workforce meetings to keep workforce informed of changes in procedures, programs, policies and techniques affecting clinical services.
  2. Advise Chief Clinical Officer of quality and quantity of service delivery and identification of community need. Recommend priorities within existing service system and changes necessary to improve service delivery and overall client effectiveness.
  3. Assist workforce in coordinating with other service providers and developing techniques for alternative strategies for client problems.
  4. Responsible for nurturing and expanding programming directly into new venues and for marketing the program to potential referral sources.
  5. Responsible for increasing public awareness of mental health and drug and alcohol issues and community support via public speaking engagements.
  6. Responsible for the compilation and reporting of statistical data and information pertaining to the clinical program.
  7. Participate in local, regional and state meetings and/or conferences as approved by the CEO.
  8. Provide educational and supportive supervision to the workforce on an individual level as needed.
  9. Maintain the confidentiality of client-level information and management-level information within the corporation.
  10. Work with the Chief Clinical Officer to develop supervisory style.
  11. Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and make every attempt to resolve work-related difficulties with the co-worker in a timely fashion.
  12. Communicate all concerns and questions regarding the program functioning and client care to the Chief Clinical Officer.
