POSITION SUMMARY:

The SUD Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the management and oversight of the SUD Department, consisting of SUD counselors, Integrated care counselors, SUD case managers and peer supporters. The SUD Supervisor works with the VP/COO in maintaining compliance with Ohio Department of Mental Health, and Addiction Services, CARF, CND program mission, philosophy, and key principals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises the daily clinical operations of the SUD Department and Intake
  • Reviews service program and curriculum to ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Mental Health, and Addiction Services, CARF, CND program mission, philosophy, and key principals.
  • Responsible for reviewing charts for errors and find areas to improve within the SUD Department.
  • Applies relevant federal, state, and local agency statutes, rules, policies, procedures, and best practice standards related to treatment planning.
  • Ensures that the SUD staff meet productivity standards and assist staff with developing a plan to increase productivity.
  • Works with VP/COO to ensure that the SUD Department meets revenue goals.
  • Conducts or participates in effective clinical treatment team meetings.
  • Ensures and provides for timely treatment planning reviews.
  • Ensures and provides for clinical and educational coordination with the assistance of the VP/COO.
  • Supervises/Provides clinical direction to the case management staff.
  • Analyzes and interprets client records/reports of treatment, behavior, and progress regarding treatment services.
  • Ensures and provides for effective case management development and implementation including Specialized Behavior Intervention Plans, Progress and Court Reports, and Treatment Team Meetings
  • Conducts and coordinates clinical file reviews, including peer reviews, and ensures reviews are completed according to standards.
  • Provides assessment, and direct services as appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with the courts, various community and referral agencies.
  • Interprets program objectives to individual and public or private agencies to obtain mutual understanding, cooperation, and support.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or CEO.

Education: Master’s degree in human service or behavioral science with Three (3) years of experience in the field of chemical dependence and mental health treatment.

Licenses, Credentials, Certifications Required Licenses, Credentials, Certifications Required: LISW, LPCC with supervisory endorsement or in process of obtaining supervisory endorsement with one year SUD supervisory experience. LICDC with supervisory endorsement or in process of obtaining supervisory endorsement a plus.

OR 

LSW or LPC with LICDC with supervisory endorsement or in the process of obtaining supervisory endorsement, with three years supervisory experience.

Must have experience in using Microsoft Office Suite. Possess an ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Candidate must possess excellent professional communication skills (verbal and written). Candidate must have an attention to detail, flexibility, and strong ability to multi-task with the ability to work without supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative to complete tasks.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license; must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen. Must be Covid-19 fully vaccinated.
