Behavioral Health Counselor

Alcohol and Drug Freedom Center of Knox County – Mt. Vernon, OH


The Freedom Center is a community behavior health organization offering high-quality and affordable mental health, substance use treatment and support services to individuals and families for more than 40 years. We are currently seeking a talented behavioral health counselor to provide behavioral health services for adults, families, and adolescents in an office based setting.

 

Duties include but not limited:

  • Conduct a thorough diagnostic assessment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide treatment; conducts individual, family, and group therapeutic services.
  • Maintain a minimum productivity level of 50% billable service
  • Communicate with families, probations officers, caseworkers, schools, and other interested parties in order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process,
  • Maintain a complete and updated clinical record for each assigned client; utilizes the agency’s established standard operating procedure to comply with documentation requirements.
  • Work as a team member with all staff at the Freedom Center.
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures and directives of the immediate supervisor and administration.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Worker, LPCC, LPC, LISW, LSW, LIMFT, LMFT.
  • Independent License Preferred

The Freedom Center is an NHSC-approved site in a designed Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). Licensed clinicians in eligible disciplines have the opportunity to receive loan repayment assistance up to $75,000 through NHSC Substance Use Disorder Workforce Loan Repayment Program (SUD Workforce LRP).
