SUD/Mental Health Counselor

POSITION SUMMARY:

Sign on Bonus of $2500, 1/2 after 90 days and the remainder after 180 days. The outpatient mental health counselor facilitates individualized, culturally competent, and evidenced based counseling and psychosocial interventions. The counselor will be responsible for comprehensive diagnostic assessments, goal setting, treatment planning, delivering interventions, assessing progress, and discharge. The counselor is a member of an interdisciplinary team with a focus on holistic treatment of mental disorders, specifically trauma related disorders and dual diagnosis. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • Must have an active LSW or LPC Licensure, with experience in assessing, diagnosing, counseling, and treating mental and emotional disorders.

  • Ability to analyze, think critically, and solve problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work with diverse population.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Computer Skills
  • Proficient in use of personal computer and related software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) use of office equipment (e.g., fax, copier, printer). 

Requirements:

Bachelor's (Preferred) and must have a valid Ohio driver's license and pass both a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen. LSW or LPC (Required) and must be fully Covid-19 vaccinated.
