QUALIFICATIONS:
- Treatment services for chemically dependent adults & their families
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in a human services field required, masters in counseling or social work preferred.
- Appropriate licensure including but not limited to CDCA,LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW or LICDC.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in AOD counseling including assessment, individual, family, and group counseling.
- Knowledgeable about the disease of Substance Use Disorder (SUD), family illness model, community resources, and treatment modalities.
- Computer literacy required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Minimum 2 year personal program of recovery if applicable.
- Must be able to work evenings/weekends and off site as scheduled.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Responsible for residential treatment program.
- Works with each resident to develop their own recovery through assessment of individual problem areas, treatment planning, case management, individual and group counseling sessions.
- Assures that group programs take place as scheduled and facilitates or co-facilitates therapy sessions.
- Assures that participation of community resources, especially 12-step volunteers, are supported and nurtured.
- Completes client charting and other required documentation in a timely, professional & legible manner.
- Participates in peer review, attends agency and residential staff meetings and in-services as scheduled.
- May transport residents as necessary.
- Relates and works well with peers and other staff in professional/team approach.
- Establish good rapport and demonstrate a positive public relations image in working with all stakeholders including the public, clients, families, and staff.
- Maintains professional standards of ethics. Thorough knowledge and implementation of applicable laws and governmental regulations relating to client confidentiality, client rights and grievance policies and procedures.
- Maintains certification and/or licensure.
Salary Range:
$37,000-$57,000 depending on licensure
