QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Treatment services for substance use disorder adults & their families.
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in a human services field required, masters in counseling or social work preferred.
  • Appropriate licensure including but not limited to CDCA, LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW or LICDC.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in SUD counseling including assessment, treatment planning, individual, family and group counseling.
  • Knowledgeable about the disease of substance use disorder, family illness model, community resources, and treatment modalities.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 2 year personal program of recovery if applicable.
  • Must be able to work evenings/weekends and off site as scheduled. 

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Intake and Treatment services for substance use disorder adults & their families
  • Coordinate, provide and develop intake and admission procedures that meet the needs of clients in all programs.
  • Works with each client to develop their own recovery through assessment of individual problem areas, treatment planning, case management, and appropriate counseling sessions (individual, family, or group).
  • Completes client charting and other required documentation in a timely, professional, accurate and legible manner.
  • Achieves and maintains established productivity expectations.
  • Maintains professional standards of ethics. Thorough knowledge and implementation of applicable laws and governmental regulations relating to client confidentiality, client rights and grievance policies and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge and implementation of office policies and procedures; insures client compliance with same, including billing.
  • Participates in Peer Review, Utilization Review, agency staff meetings and In-Service trainings as scheduled.
  • Establish good rapport and demonstrate a positive public relations image in working with all stakeholders including the public, clients, families, and staff.
  • Relates and works well with peers and other outpatient staff in professional/team approach.
  • Maintains certification and/or licensure. 

Salary Range:

$37,440 - $42,000 depending on licensure
