The Compliance & Quality Assurance Officer audits and reports on the work performed on assigned Data Solutions contracts for compliance to the contract requirements, and it reviews clinical data for compliance to internal and external measures.

What are we looking for from you?

  • Quality Assurance Officer
  • Continually measure, assess, and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of services to identify gaps in service; monitor compliance with State, Federal, and other regulating bodies; and to promote opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Provide consultation and requested data for Clinical Council, Chief Officers, and Vice Presidents for the purpose of policy development, quality improvements, and quality improvement plans for identified clinical services.
  • Develop, administer, and train staff on the Contractor Quality Assurance Plan for all Data Solutions Federal contracts to detail how Coleman ensures effectiveness and efficiency, consistent quality, and accuracy of data entry services. Manage gathering and submission of reports to necessary agencies.
  • Oversee and administer the quality improvement plan for the Data Solutions Federal Contract. Work on task force groups regarding quality and compliance measures.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and implement remediation plans for the Data Solutions Federal Contract.
  • Maintain all generated reports and records in accordance with federal, state, or local law, or per Company standards.
  • Compliance Officer and Human Resources
  • Coordinate all assigned compliance reviews to include notifying appropriate managers/staff when standards change, collecting information from responsible staff evidencing how they are complying with changes in the standards, and notifying Vice President and/or CEO of possible exposure regarding noncompliance
  • Develop and implement new compliance audits as business needs dictate
  • Coordinate and conduct assigned compliance audits (individual service plans [ISPs], Progress Notes, billing, assigned mental health boards, etc.)
  • Serve on Coleman’s Compliance Committee
  • Create and publish the Quarterly Report
  • Work with social enterprise Human Resources representative to ensure compliance with all Service Contract Act (SCA) and Ability One regulatory requirements
  • Support annual Client Satisfaction Surveys to provide a clinical perspective
  • Attend webinars and training regarding compliance developments and best practices
  • Support clinical and administrative training initiatives as needed 

Qualifications needed to be a successful Compliance & Quality Assurance Officer:

  • RN, LISW, or LPCC license
  • 3 years’ or more related experience
  • Experience with EHR and a behavioral health environment
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively as a team, interacting with clients, vendors, and employees
  • Able to exercise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent, and equitable manner
  • Effective customer service skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
