Greenleaf Family Center is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health Services (BHS). This position leads and manages a department of more than 20 clinicians, as well as the supporting back-office operations. The Director has full authority and responsibility to manage a process that delivers exemplary mental health services to the community while maximizing staff productivity and maintaining financial sustainability for the department.
This is a leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO, and must be committed to maintaining and further developing Greenleaf’s positive workplace culture, working in a team environment, and fully committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and respectful interactions with all persons. The Director will:
- Develop short and long-term strategic goals (in conjunction with the leadership team); set performance objectives for the department and staff; identify priorities.
- Balance a client-focused service culture with a culture where each employee assumes personal responsibility for their own productivity within the context of the agency’s financial viability.
- Develop service assumptions and service expectations for BHS programs; evaluate and monitor quality assurance; implement service and process improvements appropriately.
- Ensure a quality back-office operation (scheduling, billing, intake documentation, etc.)
- Manage resources and supervise staff; ensure appropriate certifications for service and supervision; support employee development and advancement.
- Draft and maintain budgets; participate in grant application and reporting processes.
- Ensure that agency, accreditation, state, and federal compliance guidelines are met.
- Ensure all programs operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Greenleaf. Protect the privacy and rights of clients.
The position is full-time, with benefits. The salary for the position will be based on comparable positions for the experience and skills of the candidate.
Preferred Candidate Characteristics:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or relevant mental health field.
- Active independent license (PCCS, LISWS) with supervisory destination.
- Minimum 7 years’ clinical, supervisory, and administrative experience
- Substance abuse assessment/treatment experience; Insurance paneling; familiar with behavioral health accreditation standards and auditing processes.
