Technical Competencies: Knowledgeable of the technical nuances of behavioral health care accreditation, regulation and payor mechanisms. Must be capable of relating to people in a manner to win confidence and establish support. Knowledge of fiscal/budgetary responsibilities. Ability to evaluate and utilize data from statistical reports, budgets, and descriptions of programs. Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques. Must possess initiative and judgment capabilities to organize and implement an efficient claims submission and collection process. Ability to monitor and respond to both internal and external environmental factors that impact business and operational objectives. Maintains effective Communication with management, facilities staff and external customers. Education, Experience:
3-5 years management experience in the D&A or Mental Health field, preferably in a development position. Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in business management, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field) or other related field with 3-5 years of experience in human service agency including supervision, direct service and program planning. Extensive experience in clinical treatment and management of clinical programs. Experience managing multiple facilities Thorough knowledge of substance abuse and mental health systems and treatment modalities. Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA, DDAP/OMHSAS/DHS licensing, and CARF regulations. Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP, DPW).
