Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc., is a private non-profit agency, providing continuous service to the community since 1971. At every level from prevention to residential recovery services, we offer a message of hope to individuals, families, groups, and entire communities. 

The Center provides a wide range of services for adults whose lives have been affected by their own or another’s use of alcohol or other drugs, by problem gambling, or by mental illness. Licensed, trained professionals offer support, education, and counseling to individuals, families, businesses, other service providers, and the community at large. Full-Time Nurse Practitioner QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Treatment services for substance use disorder adults & their families 
  • Master of Science in Nursing required
  • Licensed by the Ohio Board of Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, with Certificate of Authority to practice as Clinical Nurse Specialist. Must have Certificate to Prescribe. Must have DEA Waiver for 100 -275.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; legibility.
  • Must be able to work evenings and off site as scheduled.
  • Minimum 2 year personal program of recovery if applicable. 


  • Provide medical / somatic services to substance use disorder adults
  • Provides Medical Somatic services to clients, including health assessment, medication evaluation and medication management.
  • Provides physicals to Residential clients as needed.
  • Prescribes, follows-up, and reviews all treatment medications and provides comprehensive medication education re: benefits, risks and alternatives of proposed treatments
  • Must establish and maintain yearly Standard Care Arrangement and work collaboratively with designated physicians.
  • Maintains clear and timely documentation of all services provided, in compliance with applicable OMHAS standards, and Ohio law, and in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Practices within scope of practice that is consistent with licensure and certification requirements of the Ohio Board of Nursing, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Assures agencies maintenance of Drug Enforcement Administration status.
  • Trains, supervises, evaluates, & with the approval of the Chief Operating Officer and the President & CEO, disciplines and terminates Subordinate staff.
  • Maintains professional standards of ethics, thorough knowledge and implementation of client confidentiality, client rights and grievance policies and procedures.
  • Obtains and maintains personal professional liability insurance.
  • Participates in Peer Review, Utilization Review, agency staff meetings and In-Service trainings as scheduled.
  • Thorough knowledge and implementation of office policies and procedures; insures client compliance with same, including billing.
  • Develops/maintains positive personal and agency relationship with all stakeholders including referral sources, community resources, and insurance companies and managed care companies.
  • Relates and works well with staff in professional, team approach.
  • Maintains board, staff, and client confidentiality
