Clinical Manager of Case Management/TBS Service (LISW/LPCC/IMFT) - Counseling/Social Work

This is a management position that reports to the Director of TBS Services. This position has general responsibility for clinical, administrative and fiscal direction, planning, and supervision of a clinical team of TBS Specialists utilizing a trauma-informed approach. This team is responsible for delivering services that meet the needs of clients, customers, constituents, and the community in compliance with performance and production standards and with requirements of regulatory bodies and/or contracts. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Leads and supervises TBS Specialists to ensure quality services
  • Supervises the direct provision of client services including, Diagnostic Assessment, individual group and family counseling, TBS services and consultation
  • Responsible for the supervision of care management, utilization management, risk management, and quality management in accordance with agency policies and procedures and ODMHAS and CARF criteria in the TBS Department.
  • Conducts family meetings, attends to clients in crisis and complete assessments as needed.
  • Attends meetings as needed with other agencies related to client needs including hospitals and local jail or court systems.
  • Monitors team productivity to ensure that individual and team productivity is met.
  • Monitors teams compliance with Quality Assurance standards and responsible for QA reports, fidelity reviews and or other reports deemed necessary.
  • Prepares reports and responds to inquiries regarding the services. Assigns and helps with caseload management so caseloads are balanced and monitored
  • Supervises Quality and Utilization Management functions, including aspects of care, record review and outcome indicators. Demonstrates high standards of organization in monitoring TBS Specialists' completion of all job duties

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

In order to perform the essential functions of this job, after an orientation period, the employee must possess the following: a working knowledge of Nord Center Policy and Procedures, including sensitivity and adherence to clients’ rights, confidentiality, and health and safety issues. Must exhibit sensitivity to different cultures.  Must be skilled in implementing the Recovery Model in the treatment of consumers with severe and persistent mental illness. Must have basic computer skills for word processing and spread sheet construction. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

A great deal of time is spent in an office environment.  The employee may be required to sit for extended periods and will spend a portion of their time on the telephone.  Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, and lift and push minimal loads at various times.  A considerable amount of time may also be spent working on a computer so the employee should have close vision ability.  The employee will have frequent client contact either in person or on the phone, and must have good speaking and language skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills. 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a Master's degree with independent licensure in the State of Ohio as an LISW, LPCC, or IMFT. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral healthcare with an additional two years in a supervisory role with clinical and management responsibilities. Must have favorable references and/or evaluations.  Strong written and oral skills are necessary.  Must be able to work well under pressure and demonstrate good time management and organizational skills. Basic computer skills required, including touch typing and familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills pertaining to time-effective behavioral health care treatment approaches and the Recovery Model of psychosocial rehabilitation. Must operate in a way that is collaborative, promotes constructive group process, goal attainment, conflict resolution, and a cohesive, supportive work environment. Must demonstrate the importance of balancing clinical, administrative, and finance considerations in decision-making.  Must model and teach both managed and resource-based core competencies and ways to constructively deal with change in a service market that is in constant flux. Must tailor supervision to the strengths, developmental needs, and goals of supervisees while always in the context of consumer and organizational needs.
