The position requires, at minimum, a Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work



This position requires and LISW-S, LPCC-S or LICDC licensure.  The position requires a valid driver’s license, driving infractions within the last three (3) years subject to the Corporation Handbook and no DUI, drug, theft or felony charges in the past; reliable transportation; and adequate levels of insurance and insurability.



This position requires at least five years of supervisory and management experience in a multi-service behavioral health organization.


The qualified candidate should also have at least five years experience in behavioral healthcare direct services. In addition, the candidate should possess experienced ability to successfully operate business acumen and understand business principles.



The Chief Program Officer is required to have the following skills:

  • clinical interview methods;
  • individual, family, and group counseling methods;
  • knowledge and techniques for facilitating personality/behavior change;
  • capacity for collecting, organizing, and reporting data in order to reach valid clinical conclusions;
  • ability to develop and implement Individual Service Plans;
  • skills in crisis intervention and emergency services; specialized knowledge of the mental health field;
  • knowledge in the implementation of current applicable diagnostic standards;
  • the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; the ability to establish and maintain clinically effective relationships with clients and significant others;
  • the ability to function as part of an organization by working with others and by adhering to established policies and procedures.


This position requires training in First Aid, CPR and De-escalation techniques.



This full-time+ position is expected have after-hours availability, the willingness to work flexible hours, and travel, when necessary.



The Chief Program Officer is a senior administrative/management position, directly accountable to the CEO for the overall management and functioning of the corporation’s clinical activities.



The Chief Program Officer may perform in a variety of areas and tasks which include but are not limited to the following:

1. Work in partnership with the Management Team on actualizing the organization’s strategic plan goals.

2. Provide direct administrative and clinical supervision to the team of Clinical Supervisors at the agency.

3. Work with the team of Clinical Supervisors toward achieving business model goals and clinical outcomes.

4. Monitor clinical processes to ensure uniformity across the organization.

5. Work with the Senior Management Team to review, develop, and establish standards and policies.

6. Collaborate on common community goals with other organizations and public entities.
