Vassel Practice Manager

Red Oak Behavioral Health, a non-profit behavioral health agency that has served the greater Akron community since 1963, is seeking a Vassel Practice Manager (Part-time) to serve as part of the Management Leadership. Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services, the Vassel Practice Manager provides administrative and day-to-day operational oversight of services delivered in the outpatient clinic to ensure high-quality efficient care. Role must be paired with another part-time position within the Agency that meets a current need and allows for task completion within the Vassel Practice.

 

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a social services field or in lieu of specific degree, 3-5 years experience in healthcare field.
  • Training in leadership and/or management, with a minimum of three years¿ experience successfully managing people and processes.
  • Role must be paired with another part-time position within the Agency that meets a current need and allows for task completion within the Vassel Practice.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Understanding of clinical care standards in the treatment of adults, children and families
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare setting
  • Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to navigate stressful situations and function relatively independently
  • Strong project management and process improvement skills
  • Passion for working with those living with mental illness and other at-risk populations ¿ Basic understanding of information technology and ability to organize, analyze and synthesize complex data from various sources
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative leadership style
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to train others and hold them accountable; persuasive communicator with excellent public speaking skills
  • Strong boundaries and integrity, with a commitment to the highest level of confidentiality
