Coleman Professional Services, a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs, is seeking an individual to provide peer support activities in Portage County. The hours will be Monday through Friday, approximately 15 hours per week. The activities include: one-to-one peer support and working in our Options/Day Program with those that suffer from severe and persistent mental illness. Encourage peers to become self-directed, focus on their strengths, and life goals. The peer support specialist must be mindful of the ethics, boundary, power and control issues unique to peer supporters. Must have a high school diploma and have completed required state peer support training program. Must have and maintain excellent driving record. Preferred: Lived experience within the mental health field and Certified Peer Support Specialist.
